AirSpace Minnesota celebrated STEM Day at the Minnesota State Fair by bringing the dynamic Flying Gizmos Show from the Museum of Flight in Seattle to the STEM Stage.
Thanks to the generous support of Sun Country Airlines and the Ramada Bloomington MSP Airport at the Mall, fairgoers were treated to an interactive overview of the history of flight that featured a variety of airborne “gizmos.” AirSpace Minnesota board members Jonathan Yuhas (KSTP meteorologist) and Doug Paulson (Minnesota Department of Education STEM Leader) welcomed Rich Lienesch from the Museum of Flight to Minnesota and the STEM Stage.
Special thanks go to the Twin Cities AIAA (American Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics) Section, who partnered with the AIAA Student Chapter at the University of Minnesota to provide a hoop-glider experience at the AirSpace Minnesota booth. Booth visitors also had the opportunity to enter a drawing for free flight training certificates generously provided by Twin Cities Aviation and free flight simulation experiences donated by the exciting ACES simulator store in the Mall of America.
